mckenzee. I was born in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, spitting distance from Canada, grew up in the Deep South (north-central Florida), went to school in Providence (grinder, anyone?), moved to Boston, studied in Quebec, then ended up in Berkeley (vive liberalism!), lived in Paris for a year and a half...and now, somehow, I'm back in the South. I'm not sure where I'm heading, but I like where I've been... Let's see, what else? I'm a third wave feminist, raised by lesbians, who loves men. I aspire to be mysterious and seductive but alas am more often just plain complicated. My life goals are to visit as many countries as possible and to write a damn good gothic novel. I own way too many pieces of fabric. I have a bit of an orientalist fetish. I am obsessed with vintage...vintage anything. I'm "mommy" to an evil, demented cat named Simone (who started life off as "Simon," if that tells you anything). Someday soon we're hoping to have a baby of our own, whom we will probably name something silly like Lucretia or Barnabus. 'Cause we are like that.
